The United Nations condemned the 'continuous' killing of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip six months after the fragile ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. A spokesman for the Civil Defense in the sector, Mahmoud Basal, told AFP that seven martyrs and a number of injuries, including four critical cases, were transferred after an Israeli drone strike on a group of civilians near a police point in Burij refugee camp. Medical sources reported that three Palestinians were killed in the shelling of Beit Lahiya town. Several citizens were also injured, some seriously, in an Israeli drone strike on a tent in the Mushaala area south of Deir al-Balah city. The Israeli army launched an airstrike near a police point in Burij refugee camp in the center of the Gaza Strip early Saturday, resulting in the killing of seven Palestinians. Israeli forces 'destroyed a number of citizens' homes by blowing them up with explosives' in the Ash-Shuja'iya and At-Tuffah areas in eastern Gaza City. The Health Ministry in Gaza stated that hospitals in the sector received 11 martyrs and 26 injuries in the last 24 hours. Among the martyrs was Muhammad Siddeeq, a journalist who worked in production and direction with several local media outlets in the sector. Al-Aqsa and Al-Awda hospitals in Nuseirat camp reported the arrival of 'seven bodies, most of them dismembered and charred' in addition to nine injured, including four critical cases due to direct injuries to the face, chest, and other parts of the body. Basal added that the airstrike coincided with 'intense shelling' on the eastern areas of Khan Younis in the south of the Gaza Strip, and the aggression with shelling was repeated in the morning. The shelling also affected the area around the destroyed Beit Lahiya town club, which includes a displaced persons camp in the north of the Gaza Strip. A child was injured by the fire of Israeli occupation mechanisms around the Al-Mazar roundabout southeast of Burij camp in the center of the sector. It indicated that the total number of martyrs since the ceasefire on October 11 last year has risen to 749 martyrs, and the total number of injuries to 2,082, while 759 bodies have been recovered. On Saturday, the Health Ministry announced that the toll of the aggression on the sector has risen to 72,328 martyrs and 172,184 injuries since the start of the aggression on October 7, 2023. In addition, one of the main generators in the Nasser Medical Complex, one of the largest facilities in the Gaza Strip, stopped due to the lack of necessary oils for operation. On another front, the Peace Council, chaired by US President Donald Trump, announced that it is not facing any obstacles in funding, and that all requests have been met 'immediately and in full' so far, in a denial of previous statements by the Council about facing difficulties in funding. Reuters reported on Friday, citing sources, that the Peace Council has only received a small part of the $17 billion pledged for Gaza, which prevents Trump from proceeding with his plan for the future of the devastated Palestinian sector.
