On Thursday, the Ministry of Finance of Palestine announced that 70% of the salaries of employees in the Palestinian sector will be paid. This decision was made in light of economic difficulties that the Palestinian government has faced.
A representative of the Ministry of Finance stated that the payment of 70% of the salary is a temporary measure. Employees earning more than 2000 shekels will receive the specified amount, while those whose salaries are below this figure will receive their full salary. It was also noted that the economic situation requires the government to seek new sources of income and reduce expenditures.
"This measure is taken in light of the labor financial situation, however, the government provides a commitment to ensure the payment of the remaining 30% in the near future," emphasized the representative of the Ministry of Finance.
