Palestinian President Rejects Trump's Proposal

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas firmly condemned any plans to displace Palestinians from Gaza, calling for urgent consultations with Arab and European leaders.

The President of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas expressed today his "rejection" and "categorical denial" of any project aimed at the "deportation of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip," in response to a proposal by U.S. President Donald Trump.

This proposal has immediately encountered diplomatic rejection from Egypt and Jordan, reaffirming their previous negative positions. Trump stated to reporters on board the presidential plane on Saturday: "I would like Egypt and Jordan to take people."

The statement from the President of Palestine indicates that Abbas "is making urgent contacts with the leaders of Arab countries, European countries, and the United States on this issue," confirming that "the Palestinian people do not reject their land and holy sites."
