Celebration in Ramallah as Freed Prisoners Return

In Ramallah, on the occupied West Bank, thousands of Palestinians met with joy and flaming torches by the freed Israelis who were freed on Thursday.

Expressing joy upon the return of their relatives and friends, many of the residents of Ramallah were on the streets to welcome the freed. Many of them were in the hands of soldiers, but all that remained was in the past, when their captors released them.

One of the freed expressed his sense of gratitude, saying: "I am happy and glad that I returned to my family after all these ordeals. I hope that all our detained friends will be free."

Local authorities also welcomed this step towards further improving relations between Israel and Palestine, hoping that this will be the beginning of a new phase in peaceful coexistence.
