Palestinian Ministry Accuses Trump of Encouraging Violence

On Tuesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Palestine accused U.S. President Donald Trump of enabling 'settler extremists' to commit further crimes on the occupied West Bank. In an official statement, the ministry warned about 'the attempts to explode the situation in the occupied West Bank... to create a reality of occupation, further complicating its annexation.'

'Removing sanctions from settler extremists leads them to commit further crimes against our people,' says the ministry's statement. This position was voiced after the attack by Israeli settlers on the villages of Al-Fpandak and Jinsefut in the northern West Bank late on Monday evening.

The ministry also noted that '50 armed terrorists (settlers) carried out an open mass attack.'
