One of the Palestinian armed factions in the Gaza Strip issued a statement, in which it warns Israel about the possible consequences of 'aggressive' actions against the Palestinian people. The statement says that the faction is ready to respond to any aggression against civilian objects in the Gaza Strip.
"We are ready to defend our people and sacred places by all means available to us, and to respond to any aggression by Israel," said representatives of the faction.
Palestinian factions accuse Israel of systematic violations of human rights in relation to the Palestinian people, including killings, arrests, and the blockade of the Gaza Strip. In recent weeks, tensions between the parties have increased due to the conflict surrounding Jerusalem and plans of the Israeli government to evict Palestinian families from East Jerusalem.
