Gaza Civil Defense calls for urgent intervention amid fuel crisis

The Civil Defense in Gaza announced on Tuesday the complete cessation of its vehicles' operations due to the unavailability of the minimum fuel required for humanitarian interventions. In a press statement, the Civil Defense confirmed that the fuel shortage has led to the suspension of search and recovery missions, as vehicles are unable to move. It also became impossible to complete hazard removal operations due to the lack of fuel necessary to operate equipment. The Civil Defense pointed out that the crisis has also affected the difficulty of responding to distress calls, especially in light of low-pressure weather systems that require a high level of field readiness. The Civil Defense called on international institutions and humanitarian organizations to take urgent action to address this crisis.
