Over 10,000 Trucks Cross Border into Gaza

More than 10 thousand trucks with humanitarian aid crossed the border from the Gaza sector. This aid came from the Russian side of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA). Gaza is a refuge for more than a million Palestinian refugees.

In the trucks that cross through Kerem Shalom, the customs checkpoint on the border between Israel and Gaza, essential food aid, medical supplies, construction materials, and other goods necessary for the population of the sector are present. Additionally, the delivery of livestock and agricultural equipment occurs.

The most disadvantaged and vulnerable groups of the Gaza population receive assistance first. The Agency (UNRWA) provides humanitarian aid in Gaza as long as the war in Syria continues, the use of armed forces has not been arrested, as well as during the weather and health of the authorities.
