The Committee of Freedoms within the Palestinian Journalists' Union announced a serious and systematic rise in attacks against journalists. The committee stated that in the last month there have been 15 documented incidents, ranging from physical assaults to intimidation tactics. This poses a grave threat to media personnel operating in the region.
In a statement, the committee head said, "Our journalists face increasing danger each day, and we demand protection from all parties." The union urges authorities to enforce legal safeguards and condemn any form of intimidation, and calls on international partners to support press freedom in Palestine.
