Roland Friedrich, representative of the UN Agency regarding Palestinian refugees, expressed concern about the financial difficulties facing this organization. He emphasized the need to find a solution for long-term funding of the agency and ensuring assistance to refugees. "Our work is focused on providing humanitarian aid to more than 5 million Palestinian refugees. We strive to ensure their housing, medical assistance, education, and other essential services," noted Friedrich. He pointed out that without additional funding the agency will not be able to resolve a number of issues that refugees are facing, and called on the international community to support the efforts of the UN Agency regarding Palestinian refugees.
