Israeli military destroyed several houses and cleared a wide corridor through the Palestinian refugee camp Nur Shams on the western shore. The actions were carried out in connection with plans to build a road, which, according to the authorities, will connect movement between neighboring Palestinian settlements.
A representative of the local authorities stated: "The Israeli army raided the area early in the morning to destroy several houses and facilitate road construction. The residents have been under increased stress due to this situation, but we continue to resist such actions."
Witnesses report that more Israeli soldiers and police participated in this operation, blocking exits before starting the demolition of houses. Some residents voluntarily left their homes to avoid clashes with the military.
