The Palestinian Organization HAMAS accused Israel of spreading lies regarding the killing of a mother and her two children, who were under arrest in the Gaza sector. In a statement released to the media, HAMAS called these circumstances, which were communicated by Israeli military, "fabricated claims to evade responsibility for the shedding of innocent blood."
According to a representative of HAMAS, the organization takes responsibility for the lives of the mother and her children and asserts that they were killed as a result of an explosion of an anti-tank grenade during an escape attempt, merely attempting to evade the accusations of the murder of innocent people. "We urge the United Nations to provide an opportunity for an independent international investigation into this crime, and to expose the crime of occupation and massacre."
The organization also emphasized that it will not step back from defending the rights of Palestinian citizens and called on the UN to conduct a neutral international investigation into this crime, in order to uncover the occupation and its crimes.
