A senior official from Hamas announced that the movement is ready to free all remaining prisoners. This was reported by the Ma'an agency.
"Ma'an" writes that the Hamas representative confirmed the party's readiness for further actions regarding the exchange of prisoners with Israel. Currently, the issue of freeing all prisoners remaining in Israeli jails after the exchange that took place in 2011 is being discussed.
It is noted that the exchange of prisoners between Hamas and Israel in 2011 was carried out according to the conditions established at that time. Hamas freed Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit in exchange for 1,027 Palestinians. However, after the exchange, several Palestinian detainees remained in Israeli prisons.
The Hamas representative did not specify details regarding the number of remaining prisoners and other details of the planned exchange.
