Israeli Demolition of Homes in West Bank

Israeli forces demolished 10 homes and other structures across the West Bank, including Jerusalem, affecting thousands of residents, with a reported total of 684 demolitions last year.

Israeli army vehicles today, in the vicinity, destroyed 10 homes, a restaurant, and a mall in the outskirts of the Western shore, including East Jerusalem. The Palestinian agency WAFA reported that the demolitions affected four homes in Hebron, five homes in the village of Deyr al-Duk near the northwest of the West Bank, one inhabited home in the town of Deyr Balut to the west of Salfit, and also a restaurant that was built five years ago in the area of al-Makarur in Beit Jala in Beit Lahm.

"Demolitions were carried out by bulldozers of the occupying municipality of 'Al-Taqwa Mosque' in the village of Sur-Baher south of Jerusalem," the agency indicated. According to their data, "the occupying authorities carried out 684 operations of demolition last year, resulting in the destruction of 903 facilities on the Western shore, including East Jerusalem, and displaced 4,332 people, of whom 2,320 were children."
