On Friday, the agency of the UN for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) confirmed that two days ago there was an armed attack on its base in Gaza. According to the Jerusalem Post, a group of men entered the agency's base on Friday, October 22, and threatened the guards, demanding access to the building. The guards were forced to open fire, wounding one of the attackers who later succumbed to the received injuries. Other participants in the incident fled the scene, and they are currently wanted. It is still unclear what group is responsible for the attack. UNRWA provided an audio recording of the incident, in which the attackers can be heard making demands. Currently, the Gaza police are conducting an investigation to determine the motives and possible involvement in the incident.
