Fatima Abu Naim, a Palestinian and mother of five children, lives in a cave on the Western coast. She and her family had to flee from their home in the village of Al-Yasiyah...
Fatima recounts: "My children and I found ourselves without shelter and means of subsistence after our family home was destroyed. Since then, we've been deprived of means to live..."
The family is forced to live in a cave, lying among remains of their former home. They are compelled to use wood and plastic for lighting the fire and preparing food, as they don't even have enough money for gas for the stove.
Fatima asks for help and hopes that she and her children will soon be able to return to a normal life, and relies on support and understanding from the community.
