The office model of the United Nations Organization for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) warns that access to medical assistance on the West Bank is declining.
OCHA reported that over 830 people were injured by Israeli security forces during incidents in the occupied Palestinian territories on the West Bank over the course of one week. Most of them sustained injuries from gunfire and shrapnel. "At this time, we are seeing that the West Bank is experiencing the highest number of incidents and injuries since we started monitoring in January 2022," it states in the latest report from OCHA, published on March 9.
The organization also noted that emergency medical services are facing complexities in mobility, especially in towns where clashes often occur between Palestinians and Israelis.
