On Friday, the Gaza Strip's Interior Ministry announced the death of 42 people as a result of Israeli airstrikes. This Palestinian territory, which has already been devastated by war and has been under a full Israeli blockade for two months, is now under attack.
It is known that among the dead are women and children. Eyewitnesses report on the destruction and panic among civilians, stating that ambulances and rescue services are working beyond their capacity. In turn, the Israeli army claims that the airstrikes were a response to rocket attacks from the Gaza Strip.
"We see how women and children are dying because of this senseless cruelty. It's exhausting to live in fear and uncertainty," says one of the local residents.
