Tragedy in Gaza: 47 Palestinians Killed in 24 Hours

In the Gaza Strip, occupying forces carried out 7 massacres against families in the last 24 hours, resulting in 47 martyrs and 182 wounded, according to a statement. The UN indicates that nearly 70% of the fatalities are women and children. Since dawn on this Wednesday, 18 Palestinians have been reported killed in Israeli airstrikes and artillery attacks, according to medical sources. In another incident, a child died and at least 20 people were injured in a bombing in the humanitarian area of Al Mawasi, west of Khan Younis.

The Gaza Ministry of Health recorded the death of at least 47 Palestinians in the last 24 hours, raising the total number of fatalities since October 2023 to 43,712, with 103,258 injured. Eleven Gazans lost their lives in an Israeli attack while they were in a "store-cafeteria." The population of Gaza suffers the consequences of the destruction of 90% of the civil infrastructure during the last thirteen months of the offensive.

Regarding humanitarian aid, October saw the lowest number of trucks entering Gaza since the start of the war, according to UN data. Food security experts warn of imminent famine in northern Gaza due to the extreme severity of the humanitarian situation. Non-governmental organizations report an increase in overcrowding in Al Mawasi, with the proliferation of infectious diseases and infections.

Despite the deadline set by the United States for Israel to improve the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza having expired without significant improvements, military aid to Israel from its main ally has not been conditioned. Every day the death toll increases, exacerbating the already difficult situation in the Gaza Strip.
