On Friday, Palestinian sources announced the deaths of at least 24 people as a result of airstrikes in Gaza. Among the dead are 10 members of one family.
Eyewitnesses reported that the strikes hit the neighborhood during a time of celebration under the new leadership of Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett.
"We only lost 10 members of our family. 8 children and 2 women. They were killed in our home," shared a close relative of one of the deceased.
According to medical data, as a result of the airstrikes, dozens of residents were injured. Rescuers attempted to evacuate survivors from the ruins of destroyed homes, while rescuers continued to work at the scene of the incident.
