In the health sector, the Organization for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has restored access to services for about 180,000 people in Khan Younis, Rafah, and Gaza, opening health centers. The OCHA teams provided clothing and supplies to more than half a million people, and also provided blankets to approximately 64,000 people.
"With the start of the ceasefire in the Gaza sector on December 19, 2024, OCHA achieved unprecedented success in providing humanitarian assistance to the residents in need there. In cooperation with other humanitarian partners, the agency provided food assistance to two million people, which constitutes more than 90% of the population, thus slightly improving food security," OCHA officials noted.
