On Tuesday, the gas emergency service announced that six newborns died in the past week in Gaza due to the cold weather that collapsed on the sector.
One of the representatives of the service stated: "Six newborns died in the past few days due to the cold and low temperatures, which our region is experiencing. We are calling on all citizens to take the necessary precautions to prevent further tragedies."
Among the victims of this tragedy were children whose parents were unable to ensure warmth and comfort in such unfavorable weather conditions. Gaza is currently facing severe storms and strong winds, which poses a threat to the health and lives of infants.
