First Medical Evacuation Expected in Gaza

The World Health Organization (WHO) expects that on Friday, the first medical evacuation will take place from the moment the fire was stopped in the Gaza sector through the Rafah crossing point. This will be a key moment in providing assistance to severely injured Palestinian citizens. They say that the operation will expand the scope of medical assistance that the population of the sector receives on-site, and will also provide access to specialized services beyond the borders of Gaza. A WHO representative in Palestine, Gven de Koontri, emphasized the importance of providing assistance to patients in need of urgent medical aid. He also underlined the readiness of WHO to offer full support to the representatives of the Ministry of Health and the Palestinian side.
