Israeli Bombing Claims Lives in Beit Lahia

At least 30 Palestinians lost their lives on Saturday night due to an Israeli bombing in the village of Beit Lahia, in northern Gaza Strip, according to the official Palestinian agency WAFA. The Israeli army bombed a residential area that affected at least five homes, and among the victims are women and children, according to WAFA.

Local residents told Xinhua that neither the Civil Defense nor medical teams were able to access the area, forcing the residents themselves to transport the victims in search of assistance, using donkey-drawn carts or walking.

Israel launched a large-scale offensive against Hamas in the Gaza Strip in retaliation for Hamas's incursion across Israel's southern border on October 7, 2023, where around 1,200 people were killed and about 250 were taken hostage. The number of Palestinians killed due to the recent Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip has risen to 42,924, according to a statement from Gaza's health authorities.
